I stay as close as I can with the people in my circle. I keep it tight and talk to somebody in recovery every day. I don’t go to bed with an issue; if I have something going on, I let people know. I was in a meeting with Chris one day – and I’ve mentioned I love sports – and he told me that it’s like it is the 4th quarter and I’m down 40 points and I need my best team with me. It’s something I really took to heart.

Be sure to make sure every second count. That this is a program I have tried for 30 years to do alone. I have to maintain support and work the program.
Recovery has given me a new outlook on life and all the things in it. When I was drinking, absolutely nothing mattered except that next drink.
